It’s been quite a journey for Hayley Sales, a Vancouver Island singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer and actress. A personal journey that has allowed her to not only establish herself as an award-winning actress, but to find her truest calling by writing and producing the music she always felt destined to make. At five years old, she heard Judy Garland sing and from that moment on, couldn’t pull herself off the stage.
Hayley’s unique, romantic blend of genres, nostalgic voice and timeless song writing hearkens back to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald or Judy Garland, but with a unique, modern twist. "There's a real showbiz, old school entertainer vibe about her music," (LA Weekly) with song writing that "fits squarely into the Great American songbook" (Billboard). Her stripped back, analogue forward, songs and production effortlessly fuse elements of traditional pop and jazz while “radiating with a quality both intimate and powerful" (The Mirror, UK). Rolling Stone praised her music as "soulful.”
Sales has toured with the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Feist, The Spice Girls, Richie Havens, Bjork, Donavon Frankenreiter, and others. In 2027, Sales will be releasing her highly anticipated third album followed by a holiday album full of originals. https://hayleysales.com/
