Miina is a musical project lead by front woman, Laura Mina Mitic. Along with her longstanding creative partners (Pat Ferguson, Lo Waight, Graham Keehn, Jamil Demers and Chelsea Kanstrup) the five-piece cut their teeth as the band Carmanah, performing across North America including at Edmonton Folk, Winnipeg Folk, Hillside and Rifflandia music festivals.

With producer Gus Van Go, they pulled the grooviest aspects from their original sound and combined it with new inspiration and musical maturity. The result was Miina’s debut EP - Slow Motion - released August 14, 2023. A full-length album, Where the Light Goes, arrived in 2026.

Miina has had a very exciting first year seeing two songs, Hiccup (ft. Lowell and Pressure garnering successful radio play and performing at Rifflandia Festival, Song and Surf, Kaslo Jazz Fest and Laketown Shakedown to name a few. Described by Rifflandia Magazine as “the sound of sunlight cutting through the foliage,” MIINA blends warmth, intimacy and emotional depth. 

Putting strength in femininity at the forefront, Laura Mina’s voice is confident and graceful.
