This is a group of intergeneration’s (mostly seniors) who meet for the social aspect and to mentor and teach each other in the traditional fibre arts, preserving this knowledge for future generations. (spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, stitching, embroidery)
There are many levels of expertise in the fibre arts group that is shared with newer members. This teaching is open to anyone in the community that wishes to join and learn by sitting next to someone with more experience.
The group will also be holding regular workshops in fibre arts open to the public as well as a 100 Mile Fibre Arts Festival the last Sunday in May each year.
The group meets weekly on Thursday’s from 9am to 1pm in the Errington Hall “Old Fire Hall”.
Drop in suggested donation of $5.
