Join Mestre Maninho Costa for a FREE Batucada Workshop

Limit of 20 participants ages 15 and up.

Experience the exhilarating rhythms of Brazilian Batucada Samba as played in soccer tournaments, parades, and latin celebrations around the world.

Instructor Maninho Costa is a carioca (a Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro) who grew up playing in the samba school baterias.

Now based in Oceanside, he offers instruction on traditional Brazilian percussion instruments (supplied) and contributes his deep knowledge about the music and the samba schools.  

Depending on interest, further batucada classes may be offered in the new year.
